I don’t know what I can say about Pratchett that I haven’t already said. Thud! is one of the more cohesive of his stories that I’ve read so far. In lieu of a review, I offer you an ultra-condensed book. They tend to be incoherent and teasing (fitting for Pratchett’s works).
Commander Sam Vimes of the Ankh-Morpork Watch is one of the threads I recommend following in the Discworld series. The witches are another, but those books are older and harder to come by.

I haven’t read your earlier stuff about Terry Pratchett, but can only say that the mere sight of his name in a post makes my whole face light up. Not to overstate this or anything, but I just can’t imagine a world without his books in it! Love them all–Commander Vimes is one of my favorite characters. Also Granny Weatherwax and Death. But Tiffany Aching is moving up the list!

I like Tiffany Aching and Weatherwax, too. That’s why I want to read more of the witches. Have only read 1 other besides the Wee Free Men books. Yes, there is definitely something about Pratchett. He has become one of my favorite adult authors. I’m reading his numerous books slowly to savor them. And will probably have to reread them.
If you want to read what else I’ve written about Pratchett, search Pratchett with my search box. I think the reviews are on another site, but links will show up.

Must be an enjoyable read Thud! by Terry Pratchett. loved the way you wrote it. I find your review very genuine and orignal, this book is going in by “to read” list.
