I read two Mem Fox books recently: Tough Boris and Wilfrid Gordon McDonald Partridge. My question is: Did Mem Fox pick her own illustrators? All of her books that I’ve seen have gorgeous pictures that fit perfectly. I almost want to pick them for Picture Book of the Month on the strength of their illustrations. But while I like certain aspects of each story, neither feels strong enough for Book of the Month. Still, not to be missed.
